If you have a sense of need in your soul, if you hunger and thirst after righteousness, this is an evidence that Christ has wrought upon your heart, in order that He may be sought unto to do for you, through the endowment of the Holy Spirit, those things which it is impossible for you to do for yourself. We need not seek to quench our thirst at shallow streams; for the great fountain is just above us, of whose abundant waters we may freely drink, if we will rise a little higher in the pathway of faith.

Conflict of the Ages Series The Conflict of the Ages series of books were written by American author Ellen G. White. They are a five volume set that have attracted many to the Seventh-day Adventist Church. In them they detail many of the principles of the Bible, and Adventist beliefs. The books follow the Biblical history of the world, from the rebellion of Satan in Heaven to Creation of earth and the fall into sin, the birth and ministry of Jesus to His ascension. Then the early Christian church, the Dark Ages and the close of time and the return of Jesus, the 1000 years and the destruction of sin and finally the recreation of earth and God's kingdom with man for eternity.
